PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.  Open and close school buildings, maintaining security of building during non-school hours.
2. Clean, wax and buff floors and wet mop on a regular basis.
3. Clean furniture, carpets, walls, fixtures, water fountains, sinks, etc.
4. Report to the Principal or his/her designee vandalism, break-ins, hazardous or unsafe conditions, unhealthy or unsanitary conditions, and other conditions that would adversely affect the well being of the school.
5. Report malfunctioning of heating, cooling, lighting and other equipment in the building and on campus.
6. Handle flags and school traffic signs where applicable.
7. Cut grass, trim hedges or shrubs and do other outside chores that are needed to maintain an attractive, healthful and safe school campus.
8. Do minor repairs as needed, such as replacing of light bulbs, bolting desks and other furniture, replacing or repairing pencil sharpeners and window shades, repairing toilet and fountain fixtures when practical.
9. Performs regular and systematic cleaning of restrooms with emphasis on washing and cleaning basins, commodes, latrines, floors, windows, mirrors, etc.  A constant check on and replacement of toilet supplies is required.
10. Report to the Principal all suspected or known cases of child abuse.
11. Report to Principal all hazardous, dangerous, unhealthy or unsanitary conditions of the school or grounds.
12. Wash all windows on both the inside and outside at least twice each year and more frequently if necessary.
13. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the principal or his/her designee.
